In line with our sustainability pact between nature & business – SigneNatir, Business Mauritius has invited food professionals to participate in The Food Waste Prevention Programme which has started on 14 June 2021.

The pilots, namely y Mauritius Commercial Bank (2 sites), Constance Belle Mare Plage, Preskil Island Resort, Victoria Beachcomber Resort & Spa, La Pirogue, LUX* Le Morne Resort, LUX* Belle Mare Resort & Villas, Heritage Awali Golf & Spa Resort, and Veranda Tamarin Hotel & Spa are embarking their restaurants on a 6-month journey with the international trainers Lightblue Consulting and local trainers Foodwise Mauritius to cut on food waste, reduce unnecessary costs and negative environmental impacts, and reach the international certification and benchmarking standard The PLEDGE™ on Food Waste.

This programme is an initiative of Business Mauritius, co-funded by The Human Resource Development Council (HRDC), implemented by LightBlue Environmental Consulting Co. Ltd and FoodWise Mauritius with the collaboration of Living Labs Federation and The PLEDGE™ on Food Waste.
