National Budget Memorandums

A cornerstone of our advocacy efforts, the Budget Memorandum is a critical avenue through which we share the private sector’s key priorities to shape economic policies and reforms. Submitted to the Ministry of Finance during Pre-Budgetary consultations, this comprehensive document is the result of a rigorous consultative process designed to capture the diverse perspectives of our members and the business community at large, and translate them into recommendations

The Economic Affairs team actively contributes to national policy dialogue through a series of formal submissions and constructive engagements with key policymakers, public authorities, and relevant stakeholders on various critical issues affecting the business community.

These include official representation on high-level committees, participation in ministerial/sectoral working groups and seminars, policy recommendations, research briefs to inform policymaking and position papers to address key challenges.

The business community is represented on several public-private committees, partnerships, meetings, committees, workshops, and seminars/webinars covering several sectors of the economy.

We actively promote regional and international economic cooperation to expand opportunities for Mauritian businesses and enhance the country’s economic integration.
