The Social Capital Commission

The Social Capital Commission at Business Mauritius brings together business leaders to focus on achieving these priorities through the following objectives: 

  • Re-engineering corporate culture- The Commission promotes a mutual understanding of the roles of enterprises and the workforce in the social and economic development of business, built around a system of shared values.
  • Reworking human capital development - The Commission aims to continuously improve cross-functional processes within human resources management, offering members platforms for exchange and benchmarking of best HR practices.
  • Reinforcing industrial relations - The Commission advocates for conducive business and labour legislations, and promotes fair working practices amongst members through the setting up of an observatory and the benchmarking of labour practices.
